The Fang Clan (牙一族 Kiba Ichizoku, also known as the Kiba Clan or simply the Fangs) are a family of mountain bandits who pattern themselves after a wolf pack. The gang are masters of the Kazan Gunrō Ken (Huashan Wolf Pack Fist) and other Kazan Kenpo styles.
The clan's leader and apparent father, a giant man known as Kiba Daiō (牙大王 Great Fang King), is a master of the Kazan Kakuteigi (Huashan Horn Wrestling) style, a style which allows him to harden his skill and turn his flesh into steel.
Many members additionally have unnatural skin tones, claws and are disproportionately large or small. One such example being all members of the Fang Clan have fangs, while the Wolfman Madara has a canine like jaw and extendable claws.
Despite their viciousness towards most people, most members of the Fang Clan are childish and immature. They share a familial bond with each other and mourn their dead by wistfully howling. They appear to practice a primitive religion in which their dead can't rest unless they are avenged.
Kenshiro and Rei are hired by Mamiya to protect her village against the Fangs. When Mamiya's brother, Kō, is slaughtered by the Fangs, Ken and Rei put aside their differences to annihilate the clan. Boss Fang manages gets a hold of Rei's missing sister, Airi, and takes Mamiya captive as well, hoping to use them as leverage against the two masters. The leverage plan backfires and Rei rescues his sister, and finally, the gang is wiped out.
In the 1986 movie, the Fang Clan appears as a rival gang who fights against Ken-oh's army for their territory. Raoh defeats Boss Fang with ease.
- The Fang Clan star in a tabletop game called 北斗の拳 対決 牙一族 コンピューター・ウォーゲーム. In it the player can choose between Kenshiro, Rei, and Kiba Daioh to lead their forces to victory.
- The Fang Clan makes a brief cameo appearance in the anime, "Needless" in its fourth episode.
- Their fur outfits may draw inspiration from the Toadie from Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.
- It is claimed in chapter 37 of the manga and episode 29 of the anime that they all share the same blood, this could indicate King Fang truly is the biological father of the whole clan.
